Pamfa Dhamala
As Managing Director, Mrs Pamfa Dhamala has led the operation and growth of the Langtang Ri family business since 2003. For the last 20 years she has been an increasing force for development of the Nepal tourism industry and an advocate for the role of women in business and community development. Her efforts have been recognised through awards such as the 2010 Gantbya Nepal award for outstanding service in the promotion of Nepal tourism. She was also recognised by the Nepal Ministry of Industries in 2016 with an award for her leadership in women’s entrepreneurship. In 2018 Pamfa was recognised by Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Asia with an award for Women’s Leadership in Nepal.
Pamfa has also been extremely active in progressing tourism in Nepal. She has twice been elected, in 2012 and again in 2019, to the Nepal Tourism Board where she helped expand international marketing efforts and substantially increase Nepal’s product offering and inbound visitor numbers. Pamfa has also acted as treasurer for the Nepal chapter of PATA and is currently the Tourism Coordinator for the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI).
And while extremely business managing Langtang Ri and volunteering her time with industry bodies, in 2002 Pamfa also completed an MBA from Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu. More recently in 2021 she completed studies in Economic Policy Development through Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) Zürich, Switzerland.
Pamfa has also been very active in addressing serious environmental issues in Kathmandu, in particular waterway pollution abatement. She has also driven the deployment of multiple regional health programs that have taken medical services to remote villages of Nepal. She has also actively promoted women to management positions in her company and led the Nepal trekking industry by creating and conducting trek and tour products specifically for women and conducted by all-female staff. And all this while also raising a wonderful son and daughter in a loving family home.
Ms. Bharosha was born in Sindhuli at 2000 A.D. She completed her +2 in Management from Premier College in Kathmandu and is now studying Bachelor in Tourism at NCTTM (Nepal College of Travel and Tourism Management) Gairidhara, Kathmandu.
