Rolwaling Parchamo Peak

Parchamo Peak Ascent combines the twin adventures of Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755m) and the climbing of the peak itself, in immediate succession. Parchamo (6273m) also combines two fabulous Himalayan trekking regions of Nepal, the Rolwaling and the Khumbu areas, in a single route. It satisfies your longing for an adventure experience that goes above the level of high mountain treks, bringing the taste of mountaineering as well. Both the high pass and a peak at one single route, and an intimate glance through an off-side entry into Khumbu - these are the central attractions of Parchamo peak climbing.


Day 1. Kathmandu arrival (1,300m)

Our representative will greet you in an airport and transfer you to your hotel. After refreshment you will be formally introduced to your Guide and the activities to be enjoyed over the next few days. We will also ask for your passport photographs and any other details required for your trek permits, at this stage.

Day 2. (Permit preparation) & Kathmandu sightseeing (1,300m)

(We will use this day for permit preparation ) However you start an interesting tour, we will arrange a guide of an English speaking language to give you a tour and introduction to our rich culture amongst our ancient and fascinating history and religion. In our sightseeing tour you go to Swayambhunath(Monkey temple), Pashupatinath (Hindu Pilgrimage temple) Kathmandu Durbar square (Home of living goddess) and Baudhanath (biggest Stupa in Asia).

Day 3. Kathmandu to Dolakha (1,300m)

From Kathmandu, we drive to Dolakha through Lamosangu and Charikot by private vehicle.

Day 4. Dolakha to Shigati (950m)

We start today’s trek from Dolakha and walk towards Shigati via Piguti. It takes about four hours. The trail goes through the gravel road and we come across different villages. You need to cross many streams and jungles in this trail. You come to see many orchids, rhododendrons and other vegetation.

Day 5. Shigati to Jagat (1,440m)

Then head towards Jagat and it takes about seven hours from Sigati. You go along the river side and flat land. On the way, you come to notice many small villages inhabited by the mixed community. On the trail, we have to cross the jungles several times. We also have to cross the suspension bridge to reach Jagat. It is small town and people from the different cultural background live here.

Day 6. Jagat to Simigaon (2,020m)

Then we go to Simigaon from Jagat. It takes almost seven and half hours. As we proceed forward, we follow the flat path and it ascends and descends through the thick jungle. You cross the suspension bridges several times. You also come across many villages on the trail. Small tea shops and local shops are available on the trail.

Then we ascend up to Simigaon and this small village is inhabited by the Buddhist and Hindus.

Day 7. Simigaon to Daldung La (3,976m)

It takes approximately six hours to reach Daldung La from Simigaon. You come across beautiful Sherpa village in the trail. This trail is rich in different species of flora and fauna. After this uphill trek, you follow ascending and descending path. At the same time, you enjoy the splendid view of the surrounding. You witness the Yak Naka, a temporary Yak shed, if it happens in the season. Basically, cheese and butter is produced here.

Day 8. Daldung La to Beding (3,690m)

From Daldung La, we trek towards Beding which takes about seven hours. The trek slowly goes up through the different species of plants and rhododendron trees. We trek over the suspension bridge over the deep gorge. It makes the trek more delightful. Finally we arrive at a big Sherpa village, Beding.

Day 9. Rest day at Beding (3,690m)

Today is the rest day for acclimatization. You can go for a short hike in the surrounding for acclimatization. In the surrounding, the breathtaking views of Gauri Shankar and Tibetan mountain arrest your attention.

Day 10. Beding to Na (4,180m)

From Beding, we trek towards Na and its four hours trek. You can explore the upper slopes of the valley for snow today. You can also visit the nearby glacier too. The trek goes up along the river bank. This place is very open and it offers fresh air and charming sound the river. As the trek proceeds forward, you come across the panoramic view of the mountains. In addition, we also come across the Sherpa village and explore their specialties.

Day 11. Rest Day at Na (4,180m)

Then the trek further goes towards Ramdung Go. You witness the mountains such as Gauri Shanker, Menlung, Yalung and the mountains of the Tibet on the trail. At the end, you arrive at Yalung glacier camp today.

Day 12. Na to Tso Rolpa Lake (4,540m)

From Na, the trek further goes to Rolpa Lake. The trail goes through the flat path and gradually climbs up. You come across many natural lakes filled the scary water of glacier on the trail. The beautiful view of Menlung and Tibetan Side Mountain adds more glory in the trek.

Day 13. Tso Rolpa to Trakarding Glacier (4,800m)

We wake up early in the morning and start our trek towards Trakarding glacier. We walk past the glaciers through out the day and explore the beauty of the surrounding. This also enriches your trek.

Day 14. Trakarding Glacier to Tashi Lapcha Pedi Camp (5,755m)

From Trakarding glacier, we further trek towards Tashi Lapcha Pedi camp. It is situated in the altitude of 5755m. The trail involves some rock climbing and then we walk gradually on the glaciers. We set up our camp at Tashi Lapcha Pedi camp.

Day 15. Tashi Lapcha Pedi to Tashi Lapcha Pass (5,755m)

Climb from Tashi Lapcha Pedi to Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755m.) to Tashi Cape. You will climb up the Tashi Lapcha Pedi and cross the Tashi Lapcha Pass through Tashi Cape.

The trial will completely be over the snow straight up and then steep down towards Tashi Cape. Trek from Tashi Lapcha Pedi to Tashi Lapcha pass is very exciting. You climb up the Tashi Lapcha Pedi and then cross the pass through the Tashi cape. We trek over the complete snow and then we climb down towards the Tashi cape

Day 16. Rest at Tashi Cape. Parchamo Base Camp (4,800m)

Today, we make required preparation for summiting Parchamo. You see the panoramic views of the Parchamo, Thamserku, Kusum Kanguru, and Pigphera in the surrounding.

Day 17. Summit Parchamo (6273m) and trek back to Ngole (5,110m)

After climbing Parchamo successfully, we trek back to Ngola and it takes approximately eleven hours.

Day 18. Ngole to Thyomgbo (4,350m)

Trekking from Ngole to Thyombo takes about five hours. You experience the easy glacier walking. The trail goes down towards the Thyomgbo. Overnight stay at Tent.

Day 19. Thyomgbo to Thame (3,020m)

We wake up at dawn this morning. Then we start trekking to Thame. The trail ascends up and follows the easy trek afterwards. You enjoy the beauty of the surrounding environment.

Day 20. Thame to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

From Thame, we trek to Namche Bazzar. As we go further, the trail ascends for an hour upto Sanasa which is in the altitude of 3550m. In this point, you get your first glimpse of the peaks of the Khumbu region such as Mt Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kusum Kangaru. After passing several villages and numerous teashops, the trail further descends steep towards the bridge over the Dudhkoshi River at Phunki Tenga.

You feel very exhausted due to the rough path; the trek still offers numerous other attractions such as the chirping sound of the birds and scenery mountain views. This makes your trek more exciting. You come to notice several villages and teashops in the trail. The trail ascends up and you arrive at Sanasa where you find local people selling Tibetan goods. The way further goes to Namche bazaar and this path involves lots of ups and downs. While walking in the trail, the thick forest, scenery and mountain views arrest your attention right away.

Day 21. Namche Bazzar to Lukla (4,480m)

Boosted by all our new red blood cells, we rush down the footpath going to Sagarmatha National Park gate, in Jorsale. Later, Lukla’s footpath leads us through the first villages we saw two weeks ago : Gumila, Phakding, Choplung. The high peaks disappear behind the hills. In Lukla, This last evening in the mountains is the ideal opportunity for a farewell party with the sherpa guides and porters, where you can sample some chhang, try Nepali and Sherpa dance and look back on a memorable trekking experience and staffs are expecting for precious Tips.

Day 22. Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu (1,300m)

ly from Lukla to Kathmandu You take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 23. Free Day in Kathmandu (1,300m)

Enjoy a day exploring some of the quieter streets of Kathmandu, stocking up on souvenirs and presents for those back home. In the evening you will drive you for farewell dinner with cultural dance. There is a option of flight for 30 minutes.

Day 24. International Departure (1,300m)

All too soon it’s time to bid Nepal farewell and one realizes that we can never be intimate, only acquainted with this amazing country.

Equipment Checklist

Personal Climbing Gear: Mountaineering boots ,Rope , Climbing Harness. ,Crampons, Ice axe, Ascender and descended , ,Head Lamp, Carabineers ,Figure 8, Altimeter ,Climbing helmet:

Footwear : Well broken-in walking shoes - these must be suitable for snow, thick socks, light socks, camp shoes.

Clothing : Down or fiber filled waterproof jacket and trousers, sweater or fleece jacket, underwear, warm and cotton trousers or jeans, shirts and T-shirts, shorts, long underwear, wool hat, sun hat, gloves, bathing suit, track suit.

Other equipment: Sleeping bag (5 seasons),  lock, day pack, water bottle, sun cream, sunglasses, flashlight with spare bulbs and batteries, lip salve, gaiters.
