Day 13. Drive from Samar to Tatopani (1190m/7hrs)

 • Morning Departure: Begin your day early with breakfast at the lodges in Samar.

 • Diverse Terrain: Traverse through diverse terrain, witnessing the transition from mountainous landscapes to lower altitudes.

 • Lunch En Route: Take a break for lunch at a local eatery during the drive, enjoying a mix of flavors.

 • Arrival in Tatopani: Reach Tatopani, situated at an elevation of 1190 meters, where you will check into your accommodation for the night.

Day 13 brings a change of scenery as you embark on a drive from the mountainous terrain of Samar to the lower altitudes of Tatopani. The evening in Tatopani provides an opportunity to relax and indulge in the natural hot springs, ensuring a peaceful night's rest before further exploration.

Day 14. Drive to Pokhara and fly to Kathmandu (3 hrs. drive and 30 minutes flight) overnight in Hotel Holy Himalayan

 • Morning Departure from Tatopani: Start your day early with breakfast in Tatopani, preparing for the journey ahead.

 • Scenic Drive to Pokhara (3 hrs): Embark on a picturesque drive from Tatopani to Pokhara, soaking in the diverse landscapes along the way.

 • Explore Pokhara: Spend some time exploring key attractions in Pokhara, perhaps visiting the lakeside or enjoying the views of the Annapurna range.

 • Afternoon Flight to Kathmandu (30 mins): Head to the Pokhara airport for a short and scenic flight back to Kathmandu.

 • Arrival in Kathmandu: Upon reaching Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel Holy Himalaya for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 15. Departure

 • Morning Preparation: Begin your departure day with a hearty breakfast at Hotel Holy Himalaya in Kathmandu.

 • Check-Out: Complete the check-out process and ensure all belongings are accounted for.

 • Airport Transfer: Arrange for a timely transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure.

 • Flight Departure: Board your flight, bidding farewell to the captivating landscapes of Nepal.

CHECKLISTS

  •   Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from the trip date.
  •   Carry an additional picture ID, like a driver’s license, for emergencies or as a substitute for a passport in case of loss. Keep a photocopy of your passport in your wallet.

Guiding, Food, and Lodging

  In Nepal, teahouse trekking is common, involving staying and eating in local lodges. Rooms are basic, often shared. 

  • Most teahouses have a dining room-lounge. 
  • The menu is limited but food is plentiful. 
  • Local beverages are available at your own cost.
  • Pack necessary items in your day pack, as you will meet your porter at the teahouse where you stay overnight.
  • DRESS CODE FOR VISITING MONASTERIES AND TEMPLES IN NEPAL
  •   Wear a shirt (either half or full sleeve) and full pants or long skirts.
  •   Wear any type of shoes with socks.
  •   Avoid hats, umbrellas, slippers, t-shirts, short skirts, and half-pants.
  •   Photography is allowed only in the courtyard.

Note regarding itineraries

  •  While we aim to stick to the schedule, the itinerary may change due to factors beyond our control, such as weather, terrain conditions, and campsite availability.
  •   Dress appropriately when visiting monasteries and temples in Nepal - shirts with either half or full sleeves, full pants or long skirts, and any shoes with socks are recommended.
  •   Do not wear hats, umbrellas, slippers, t-shirts, short skirts, or half-pants during temple and monastery visits.
  •   Photography is permitted only in the courtyard during temple and monastery visits.
  •   Remember that our trek is logistically complex, and adjustments may be made for a successful trek based on our guide's judgment.
