Nepal Hindu Tour – 11 Days

Your spiritual journey begins the moment you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport. A representative from Langtang Ri Trekking & Expedition will warmly welcome you and escort you to your hotel in Thamel. After some rest and refreshment, you will take a short 10-minute walk to Kathmandu Durbar Square, also known as Hanuman Dhoka, named after the revered deity Hanuman.
This sacred complex is filled with ancient temples, courtyards, and shrines devoted to Hindu gods and goddesses. Highlights include the massive one-stone sculpture of Kal Bhairav, the Shiva-Parvati Temple, Taleju Bhawani Temple, Akash Bhairav Temple, and the historic Hanuman statue guarding the palace gate.
After the visit, enjoy a free evening exploring the vibrant Thamel streets. Later, join a delightful welcome dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant, where you will enjoy authentic cuisines and discuss the journey ahead.

After breakfast, begin your pilgrimage to some of Kathmandu’s most important spiritual sites.
Your first stop is Pashupatinath Temple, the holiest Hindu shrine in Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated on the banks of the sacred Bagmati River, this UNESCO World Heritage Site draws thousands of devotees, especially during Mahashivaratri.
Next, visit the iconic Swayambhunath Stupa, also revered in Hinduism as “Swayambhu,” meaning self-created. Perched atop a hill, it offers panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley and holds deep spiritual significance for both Hindus and Buddhists.
The final visit of the day is Dakshinkali Temple, dedicated to Goddess Kali. Located south of Kathmandu, this temple is surrounded by peaceful forested hills and carries powerful religious energy.
Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Start early with a visit to Suryabinayak Temple, a forest-surrounded shrine dedicated to Lord Ganesh. The temple is believed to relieve sorrows, fulfill desires, and bless children with speech.
Next, visit Doleshwor Mahadev Temple, believed to be the head part of Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, India, making it one of Nepal’s most revered Shiva temples.
After the local pilgrimage, drive toward Pokhara. En route, stop at Manakamana Temple, dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati—known as the wish-fulfilling deity. A short and scenic cable car ride takes you to the temple hilltop.
Continue your journey to Pokhara and check in at the hotel.

Pokhara is a paradise of lakes, temples, caves, and mountains. Begin your exploration at Tal Barahi Temple, beautifully positioned on a small island in Fewa Lake.
Then, visit Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, home to a sacred Shiva lingam deep inside a natural cavern.

  End your day with peaceful boating on Fewa Lake and an evening walk around the lively Lakeside area.

Begin early with a scenic 15-minute mountain flight to Jomsom. From the airport, walk to the local jeep stand and drive toward Muktinath, one of the most important Hindu (and Buddhist) pilgrimage sites.
At Ranipauwa, a short uphill walk takes you to the temple. Perform rituals, offer prayers, and—if your health allows—take a holy bath under the 108 sacred water spouts believed to cleanse sins and purify the soul.
Return to Jomsom following the same route.

Fly back to Pokhara in the morning. If you like, you may participate in optional adventure activities such as paragliding, bungee jump, zip line, or a scenic mountain flight (extra cost).
Afterward, drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Spend your day exploring the peaceful monastic zone, including Mayadevi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, the Sacred Pond, and the remains of ancient Kapilvastu Palace.

After breakfast, drive to the beautiful spiritual complex of Shashwat Dham. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, its architecture reflects the ancient Khajuraho style. The temple is surrounded by sacred ponds filled with holy waters collected from pilgrimage sites such as Badrinath, Kedarnath, Muktinath, and Pashupatinath.
Later, continue your drive to Chitwan. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Tharu cultural performance. Optional jungle activities such as jeep safari, canoeing, or elephant safari are available at your own cost.

Begin with a scenic drive to Devghat, a holy confluence where the Trishuli and Kali Gandaki rivers meet. Known for its temples, caves, and ashrams, it is one of Nepal’s most sacred religious hubs.
Continue the journey to Janakpur, the birthplace of Goddess Sita. Check in to your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.

In the early morning, visit the majestic Janaki Temple, Bibaha Mandap (wedding pavilion of Ram and Sita), Ram Mandir, Laxman Temple, and various shrines dedicated to Lord Ram and Hanuman.
After completing your Janakpur pilgrimage, drive back to Kathmandu. Enjoy a free evening exploring Thamel markets, cafés, or catching a movie in the nearby theater.

After breakfast, drive to the Chandragiri Cable Car Station. The 10–12-minute cable car ride offers breathtaking views over lush hills and deep valleys.
At the hilltop (2540 m), enjoy mesmerizing Himalayan scenery and visit the sacred Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple, believed to bless devotees with good fortune and spiritual strength.
Later, visit Budhanilkantha Temple, home to Nepal’s largest stone-carved statue of Lord Vishnu reclining on a cosmic serpent. This open-air shrine is one of the most important Vishnu temples in South Asia.
Return to your hotel for the night.

After breakfast, the team from Langtang Ri Trekking & Expedition will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight home.
