Day 01 :

International Arrival (Kathmandu)

Langtang Ri Trekking & expedition representative will greet you in an airport & transfer you to hotel; here you will be formally introduced to your Guide and the activities to be enjoyed over the next few days. We will also ask for your passport photographs and any other details required for your trek permits, at this stage.

Day 02 :

Bird Watching in Shivapuri Wildlife Reserve & Nagarjun (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 20 km)

We drive Buddhanilakantha, & hike to Shivapuri newest National Park the, there bird-observation which is at 8 km north of Kathmandu & about 20 minutes from Budhanikantha Temple up Two other places of the valley are the Shivapuri Watershed Reserve, 1okm north of the city, and Nagarjun in the North West. Shivapuri we will be reached two ways either from Sundarijal or from Budhanilkantha. Some of the birds in the places are the Laughing Thrush, Serpent Eagle, little Pied Fly Catchers, and Babblers. At Nagarjun at 2095m pheasants, magpies and ruby throats are found.

Day 03 :

Bird Watching in Godawari & Phulchoki Hill (7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, 40 km)

On the third day, after breakfast, we drive to the Godawari area, located 18 km southeast of Kathmandu, which is renowned for its botanical garden and rich birdlife. From there, we hike to Phulchoki Hill, reaching an altitude of 2,760 meters. The hike through the forests is a bird lover’s paradise, where we will encounter species such as the endemic Spring Babbler, Mountain Hawk Eagle, Rufous-Bellied Pied Woodpecker, and the Black-Throated Parrotbill. This area is known for its diversity of flora and fauna, making it one of the best bird-watching spots in the Kathmandu Valley. After an exhilarating day of bird watching, we return to Kathmandu for the night.

Day 04 :

Bird Watching in Taudaha & Dakshinkali (8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 25 km)

The morning begins with a short drive to Taudaha Lake, located just outside Kathmandu, known for its abundance of water birds. Here, we can spot species like Egrets, Herons, Kingfishers, and Ibis bills, among others. After spending time at the lake, we drive to Dakshinkali, a popular birding spot that attracts numerous migrant species, especially during the winter months. Day 05 :

Fly to Bharatpur and Drive to Chitwan for Bird Watching (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 160 km)

After an early breakfast, we catch a morning flight to Bharatpur, located in the Terai region of Nepal. Upon arrival, we drive for about 45 minutes to Chitwan National Park, one of Nepal’s premier wildlife reserves. The park is an exceptional location for bird watching, with over 500 species of birds recorded, including rare species like the Bengal Florican and Stork-billed Kingfisher. The park's diverse ecosystem, comprising sal forests, grasslands, and riverine areas, creates a perfect habitat for birdlife.
